Privacy statement
Last updated: 29 September 2026
This statement explains which personal data Persona Guard processes, why, and what your rights are. It covers this website, our cybersecurity services and the complaint tool at persona-guard.com/complaint.
Who we are
Persona Guard is responsible for the processing described here (the "controller" under the General Data Protection Regulation, GDPR).
- Name
- Persona Guard, Sean Ermilov
- hello@persona-guard.com
When you visit this website
This website does not use cookies, analytics or tracking. Our fonts are stored on our own website, so visiting it does not send your data to font services.
The website is hosted by Cloudflare. To deliver pages and protect the site against attacks, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type. We rely on our legitimate interest in running a secure website. Cloudflare may process this data outside the European Union; it participates in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
When you contact us
The contact form on our website does not send anything to us by itself. It opens an email in your own email program, which you then decide to send. When you email us, we receive your name, email address and whatever you write.
We use this to answer you and, if you ask for it, to prepare an offer. This is based on your request and our legitimate interest in responding. We keep these emails for as long as needed to follow up, and no longer than two years after our last contact, unless you become a client.
When you are a client
To provide our services, we process the details you give us, such as your name, contact details, the email addresses and accounts you ask us to monitor, and our correspondence. We do this to perform our agreement with you. The details of what we monitor and which sources we use are set out in your service agreement.
We keep invoices and other financial records for seven years, because Dutch tax law requires this. Other client data is deleted or returned when our agreement ends, unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.
The complaint tool
The complaint tool runs entirely in your browser. What you type, your signature and the PDF files it creates are not sent to us, not stored by us and not visible to us. We do not know who uses the tool.
When you send your complaint, the files go from your device or email account directly to Maastricht University. The university then processes your complaint under its own privacy statement. Only loading the page itself passes through Cloudflare, as described above.
Sharing your data
We do not sell your data. We only share it with service providers we need to run our business, such as our website host and email provider, and only when the law requires us to, for example with the tax authorities.
Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss and unauthorised access, in line with the nature of our work.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- see the personal data we hold about you;
- have incorrect data corrected;
- have your data deleted;
- limit or object to how we process your data;
- receive your data in a common format (data portability).
Email hello@persona-guard.com to use these rights. We respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
Changes
We may update this statement. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
